Make a dated note identifying attendees, the words or decisions you remember, follow-up actions and related emails. Keep the note honest about what was recorded at the time and what was remembered later.

01

Record who, when and where

Identify participants, date, approximate time, location or call method.

02

Use neutral wording

Record remembered statements and decisions without adding motive or intent that was not expressed.

03

Link follow-up records

Attach or reference emails, calendar invites, documents or actions that followed the conversation.

04

Label later notes

If the note was made after the event, state when it was created and avoid implying it was contemporaneous.

Important limitation

GetInstantProof helps create and organise factual notes. It does not make a note legally privileged, admissible or conclusive.
