GetInstantProof guide
In the first days or weeks after separation, focus on preserving the practical records you already have: identity and relationship documents, current housing information, account details, children's immediate arrangements, insurance records and any existing agreements or orders. This page is an immediate-gathering checklist, not a complete divorce, parenting or property-disclosure list.

Keep the originals, organise the important records, connect them to the events they support, then make missing information visible.

Children's immediate practical arrangements
Keep current school or childcare information, health or appointment details, agreed handover or schedule messages, and emergency contact information that you are entitled to access. Do not use this checklist to monitor another person's private account.
Secure copies of important records, change access to your own accounts where appropriate, and make a short list of missing documents or questions for a lawyer, adviser or support service. Urgent safety concerns need specialist or emergency help rather than a routine document-gathering workflow.
This is an immediate record-gathering aid, not a statement of what must be disclosed or filed. GetInstantProof does not determine property, parenting, support or divorce entitlements.
